The Third Annual

Northwest Historic District Yard Sale

Saturday, June 26th

The event is planned for Saturday, June 26th from 8am until as long as you feel like sitting in your own yard or driveway.  The Association will provide signs for the heads of each road (Dunning, Cumberland, High, Oak, Lincoln, Gilman, Swett, Union, Cushing, Mill and Pleasant) and helium balloons for each participating household the morning of the 26th.

If you would like to participate, pleases contact us by June 19th. We are asking each participating household to contribute $10 to help offset the cost of advertising, signs and balloons.  We are also arranging  for a charitable organization to come through the neighborhood after 2pm that day to pick up any leftover “treasures” you’d rather not hold on to.  Simply leave your left over items at the end of your driveway after the yard sale.

We will be at the end of our driveway at 7am the morning of the 26th to pass out balloons for you to put in your own yard indicating your participation.  We hope to have you out that Saturday and look forward to meeting with old and new neighbors alike for a fabulous Northwest District event!

Your neighbors, Laura and Joe Lienert

The NorthWest Neighborhood Association and the College Neighborhood Association are joining together to sponsor a Candidate Forum on Thursday, October 29th at 7:00 in the Morrell Room of the Public Library.

The focus of this Forum will be to give each Candidate an opportunity to address the realities and concerns particular to the geographic area of Brunswick, as seen by its residents who are represented by our two neighboring associations.  Our forum will provide you an opportunity to speak to and answer questions from neighbors whom you hope to serve through the Town’s policy making body.

There will be questions posed to each candidate by a moderator, followed by Q&A from the audience.  So come ready with some questions!  And we’ll wrap up as we always do with social time where individual conversations and homemade apple pie can be enjoyed by all!
